Muhlenkamp's celebrate 50th (11/14/06)

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Muhlenkamp, 8835 East 500 North, Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Nov. 23 with a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Ohio. An open house will follow from 2 to 4 p.m. at Mary Help of Christians Church in Fort Recovery.

Ernest married Janet Bruggeman on Nov. 22, 1956, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, Ohio.

They are retired dairy farmers. Ernest operates a van service for the Amish and Janet is a part-time van driver.

They are the parents of Michael, Keith, Mrs. Dan (Nancy) Link, Mrs. David (Jill) Hemmelgarn Jr. and Mrs. Martin (Mary) Jutte, all of Portland, Randall, South Lyons, Mich., Jerome, Fort Recovery, and Mrs. John (Karen) Shields, Hartford City.
