NCGLNAC to hold conference

The National Center for Great Lakes Native American Culture, Inc., will have an Academic Conference in Portland in April.
The conference will be held Saturday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at John Jay Center for Learning, 101 S. Meridian St.
At 9 a.m., Shirley Willard will discuss "Nine Treaties in 1836 That Led to the 1838 Potawatomi Trail of Death"; at 10 a.m., John Dunnagan will discuss "Miami Treaties in Indiana"; at 11 a.m., Tony Reganaucourt will discuss "The Treaty of Greenville"; at 1 p.m., Dr. Ben Secunda will discuss E"arly Treaties of the Old Northwest 1792-1840"; and at 2 p.m., Sara Wagar will discuss "Treaties of the Shawnee."

The cost is $30 and $20 for students with photo identification.
