A tough economy may have spelled the end of a restaurant at the Delaware County Airport.
Nick's at the Airport, which opened on May 1, closed this week after owner Nick Jones anticipated a tough financial road ahead. The restaurant at the two-runway airport in Muncie shut its doors Wednesday.
Jones, a native of Ohio, ran Shanker's Restaurant at The Portland Golf Club for several years.
Several Jay County residents were employed at the restaurant.
