OSSIAN — The Norwell Knights eked out a 1-0 win to end Jay County’s season in sectional play last season. They didn’t allow Thursday’s game to even stay close.

Norwell racked up 13 shots on goal, getting scores from seven different players as it defeated the visiting Patriots 7-1 in boys soccer action.

However, Norwell scored again less than a minute later for a 3-1 lead.

The second half was all Knights as they posted four more scores, including one in the final minute, for the six-goal win.

Jay County managed just six shots on goal in the contest, led by two from Scott “Scooter” Bruggeman.
