CLINE APPOINTED
Arts Place Inc. recently announced the appointment of Carolyn Cline as the facility’s new marketing director.
Cline is the former vice president of business development with First Merchants Bank of Muncie. She brings 16 years of marketing experience to Arts Place.
The Muncie resident attends Indiana Business College and is a graduate of the Academy of Community Leadership, Dale Carnegie Sales Training and is a member of the Indiana Advertising Federation.
GENEVA CHAMBER
The Geneva Chamber of Commerce will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at Mom’s Soda Shoppe, which is located on West Line Street in Geneva. The speaker will be Adams County Sheriff Chuck Padgett, who will be speaking on his past year in office and other related subjects.
There will be no chamber business meeting in December. The next meeting will be at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 13.
The chamber nominating committee also is requesting nominations for the positions of president, vice-president and secretary-treasurer.
ADMISSION SESSION
Residents in Jay, Randolph and Blackford counties interested in taking courses offered through Community College of Indiana partners Ivy Tech State College and Vincennes University are encouraged to attend an admission session scheduled at WorkOne Express sites in their communities.
Information will be shared about college admissions, financial aid, programs and courses for the spring semester, which begins Monday, Jan. 12, via video conferencing at WorkOne sites.
The two-way admission sessions will be offered at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the following Wednesdays: Nov. 12, Dec. 3, 10 and 17, and Jan. 7.
Students planning to enroll in classes at Anderson, Muncie or Marion Ivy Tech campuses or at the John Jay Center for Learning in Portland may also attend one of these sessions.

All American Homes LLC, headquartered in Elkart with a site in Decatur, was selected recently to build the NextGen04 demonstration home, which will be on display in Las Vegas at both the 2004 Consumer Electronics Show Jan. 8-11 and the 2004 International Builders’ Show Jan. 19-22.
Under the theme of “The Evolution of the American Home,” the 2,300-square-foot NextGen04 demonstration home will showcase the latest in home-building technologies, building materials, universal design features, energy efficiency and smart-home automation.
To be ready for the first show, the home must be completed on site within five days. It will arrive on site 90 percent complete, All American Homes president Steven Kerr said in a recent press release.
After the shows, the home will be donated to Opportunity Village, a not-for-profit organization serving people in the Las Vegas area with intellectual disabilities.
NEW PROJECTS MANAGER
All American Homes LLC announced earlier this week that Tad Ritchison has been appointed special projects manager for the Decatur facility.
Ritchison will be responsible for bringing in new large-scale business projects and focusing on housing developments that feature numerous single- and multi-family homes.
Prior to joining All American Homes, Ritchison served six years at Redman Homes, a Champion Homes Division in Topeka. He also helped launch Champion’s Genesis Homes product line from the Topeka location, worked as an insurance agent and has spent 10 years as a real estate agent.
He received a degree in accounting from International Business College in Fort Wayne. He currently lives in Warsaw with his wife Lesa and their three children.
LANE TO SPEAK
Dr. Ross G. Lane will be the speaker at the Wednesday, Nov. 12 membership meeting of The East Central Indiana Human Resource Association. The meeting will be held at the Delaware County Country Club, 510 S. Country Club Road, Muncie. He will be speaking on “Minimizing Conflict: Relationship Skills at Work.”
Lane has served East Central Indiana as a mental health service provider for the past 23 years. He is a psychologist with Comprehensive Mental Health Service.
