Oratorical winners named
Taking Note
Pennville Elementary School recently named the winners of its oratorical contest.
The boy winner was Caleb Webster, the fifth grade son of Nikki Ninde and Aaron Webster. The boy runner up was Ethan Andreshak, the fourth grade son of Mike and Kerri Andreshak.
The girl winner was Molly Ault, the fifth grade daughter of Bill and Amy Ault. The girl runner up was Allison Jobe, the fifth grade daughter of Brian and Lisa Jobe.
The boy and girl winner will advance to the county contest at Westlawn Elementary School on Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Bee winner
Alex Hammers was the spelling bee winner at Westlawn Elementary School.
He is in the fourth grade and is the son of Chris and Tiffany Hammers.
Alex will continue on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
The alternate is Dawn Minnick, the daughter of Dan and Sherry Minnick, Redkey.
At Minnetrista
The Farmers Market will be Saturday, Feb. 18, from 9 a.m. to noon at Minnetrista in Muncie.
