Panthers finish off South Adams in three games (08/31/05)

BERNE — The South Adams volleyball team slipped to 1-8 Tuesday with a 25-19, 25-15, 25-18 loss to the Parkway Panthers.
Senior outside hitter Renee Neuenschwander powered the Starfires, racking up as many kills — eight — as the rest of the team combined. She also had team highs with seven digs and two aces, and added three blocks.
Maranda Potts also had seven digs, while Alyssa Miller totaled 17 assists and four digs. Andrea Moser finished with four kills and five blocks, and Brooke Fox and Tamara Moser added two kills apiece.
South Adams also dropped the junior varsity match, 25-23, 25-23.
FR splits with Panthers
FORT RECOVERY — The Fort Recovery junior high volleyball teams hosted the Parkway Panthers Tuesday, coming away with a split in their first action of the season.
The eighth grade squad rallied after a game-one defeat for an 18-25, 25-19, 15-9 victory while the seventh graders fell 25-19, 25-16.
Nichole Pottkotter scored nine points and added four kills to power the eighth grade team. Emily May notched a team-high eight kills to go along with four points.
Jessica Taylor had 10 points, and Chelsey Leuthold and Sylvia Schwieterman added four kills apiece.
Holly Brunswick and Olivia Thien each scored four points for the seventh grade Indians. Megan Rammel had three points, and Nichole Kaiser totaled three kills.[[In-content Ad]]
