Parrs celebrate 80th (09/06/06)

Mr. and Mrs. Bert Parr, 1350 W. Main, Berne, IN 46711, who have relatives in Jay County, will celebrate their 80th wedding anniversary on Saturday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at Swiss Village Auditorium in Berne. They request that gifts be omitted.

Bert Parr and Martha Miller, the daughter of former Jay County residents, were married in 1926.

Bert owned and operated Parr Tire and Implement in Berne. The couple was active for many years at Bethel Brethren Church in Berne.

They are the parents of four surviving children, Margaret Sprunger, Keith Parr and Judith Dye, all of Berne, and Donna Tiede, Humble, Texas. They have 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
