INDIANAPOLIS — Jay County finished fifth overall at the Lawrence North Relays Saturday.
The Patriot swim teams combined for a score of 257, finishing just ahead of Decatur Central (243) at the six-team event. The girls finished fourth with 128 points, and the boys were last with 118.
Brownsburg won with 355 points, posting a top score of 174 in the boys competition. Lawrence North was tops among the girls teams with 177 points.
The top Jay County finish came from divers Brittany Lewis and April Acker. The duo put up a score of 281.75 points, well behind the team from Brownsburg, but ahead of New Castle (275.5) for a second-place finish.
The Patriot boys divers also had a good day, finishing third with 274.05 points.
Other third-place efforts for Jay County from the girls team were in the 400-yard medley relay and the 200 breaststroke relay.[[In-content Ad]]
