Patriots to meet Rebels in sectional

Jay County will host Sectional 27 in boys tennis beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The Patriots will take on the Randolph Southern Rebels while Winchester Golden Falcons will meet the Union City Indians in the other semifinal
The championship match will be at 5 p.m. Thursday.
South Adams and host Norwell drew byes in the Sectional 46 tournament.
Adams Central and Bluffton meet at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Huntington North plays Bellmont in the other opening-round match.
The Starfires will play the Huntington North-Bellmont winner at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, and Norwell will face the Adams Central-Bluffton winner in the other semifinal.
The championship match is set for 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Winchester tops Jay
WINCHESTER — Winchester defeated the Jay County volleyball team Monday, 25-16, 25-18, 25-22.
Kylie Osborne and Ava Kunkler led the Patriots (9-16) with seven kills each while Abby Wendel added five and Bre McIntire had four. Malarie Houck recorded a team-high three aces.
Lizzy Schoenlein tallied 20 assists.
The Patriots return to the court at 9 a.m. Saturday as they host the Patriot Invitational.[[In-content Ad]]
