Larry and Alice Paxson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.
Larry married Alice Pearl Abel on Aug. 25, 1962, at Pleasant Hill Church, Portland.
They are the parents of Trent Paxson, Pennville, and Angie Bakeis, San Jose, Calif. They also have six grandchildren.
The couple retired from the Jay School Corporation. Larry began teaching at Madison School, where he met Alice, and retired as assistant superintendent. Alice was a fifth grade teacher.
They celebrated with a family vacation to Hawaii and a celebration at Arts Place in Portland.[[In-content Ad]]
