Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Paxson, 1601 N. Morrison Elmcroft, Muncie, are celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Tuesday (July 22). They are former Jay County residents.
Ralph married Mary H. Holloway on July 22, 1933, in Petroleum with the Rev. T.A. Garriott receiving the couple’s vows.
They are the parents of Larry J. (wife Alice) Paxson, Portland, and the grandparents of three. They also have three great-grandchildren.
The Paxsons moved to Muncie from Jay County in 1966, where they had farmed for 30 years.
Ralph retired from the biology department at Ball State University, Muncie, in 1979, and Mary retired from the department of physiology and health science at BSU in 1979.
They are members of the Antioch Church of the Brethren.
A reception for family and friends will be held Sunday, July 27, from 1-5 p.m. in the Elmcroft ice cream parlor. The couple requests that gifts be ommitted, but memories are welcome.[[In-content Ad]]
