Dale and Alice Pearson, Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Fort Recovery.
Dale married Alice Knapke on Dec. 31, 1960, at Mary Help of Christians Church in Fort Recovery with the Rev. Heinzen officiating.
Alice retired as a nurse for the Jay School Corporation after 21 years and Dale retired from Portland Forge after 34 years of service.
They are the parents of four children, Chris Hartman (husband: Ray), Keystone, Nancy Pearson, Mexico City, Mexico, Matt Pearson (wife: Jody), Lafayette, and Mark Pearson (wife: Jayne), Portland. They also have four grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.
