HARTFORD CITY — Four interceptions helped lift the Jay County High School football C-team to a 20-14 victory Monday over the host Blackford Bruins.
Jason Houston, Preston Keen, Keenan James and Jacob Easton each picked off a pass in the victory.
Zach Metcalfe scored two touchdowns and gained 57 yards on the ground to lead the Patriot offense. James added a 20-yard TD reception.
Eric Hemmelgarn had a team-high of five tackles.

Tribe spikers roll
FORT RECOVERY — The Fort Recovery seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams opened their season Monday with wins over the Union City Indians by scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-13, 25-11 respectively.
Cassidy Rammel paced the eighth grade team with nine points, including seven aces. She also had five assists and a pair of kills.
Haley Knapke totaled nine points, seven aces and three kills, and Tori Lennartz and Rachel Pugh added two kills apiece.
Trisha Thien powered the seventh graders with six points and two assists. Morgan Lennartz added five points and two kills.[[In-content Ad]]
