POET pleased by ethanol ruling
Business Roundup
A Supreme Court decision this week not to hear a challenge by the oil industry of the use of 15 percent ethanol fuel drew praise from the chief executive officer of POET.
Jeff Lautt said the decision “clears the way for more fuel option for U.S. drivers. We think drivers deserve reliable choices at the pump. By denying the challenge from renewable fuel opponents to limit growth of clean, American-made fuel, those choices will be available to even more consumers.”
POET, one of the world’s largest ethanol producers, is the parent company of POET Biorefining-Portland.
The company produces more than 1.6 billion gallons of ethanol and 9 billion pounds of animal feed annually in its 27 production facilities.
Expands to Muncie
591 Liquidation Warehouse recently opened a second store in Muncie located in the old Damon’s Restaurant near Meijer and Menards.
The main Dunkirk warehouse, located next to the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department remains the headquarters as everything gets shipped and sorted there first.
Dunkirk warehouse manager, Jeff Fallis said they will have pretty similar products being sold at the Muncie store, except for the very large items.
591 Liquidation Warehouse sells an assortment of home improvement items, as well as a large variety of tools at discounted rates.
The store receives name brand items from the big box stores that are brand new, shelf pulled, discontinued, floor models, or used.
Fallis and the remainder of the crew are excited with how good of a location the new store is at and are hopeful for its success.
