Portland grad attends Harvard
Taking Note
Nancy Schoolcraft, a 1970 graduate of Portland High School, recently received a master's degree from Harvard University in the Mind, Brain and Education program. She was also awarded the Intellectual Contribution/Faculty Tribute Award.
Nancy's work has been trying to find links between language and mathematics in the brain. She will begin working on a joint PhD in mathematics education and learning sciences at Indiana University next year.
The daughter of Kenny Bosworth of Portland, Nancy previously taught at Marion High School and Ball State University.
Class reunion
The Jay County High School graduating class of 1989 is having its 20th reunion in August.
On Friday, Aug. 21, a casual social time will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Greazy Pickle in Portland.
Saturday at 6 p.m. will be food, music and dancing at the Portland Golf Club.
The cost is $30 per person. RSVP to Lori Yadon Phillips, 4801 N. Wheeling Ave., Muncie, IN 47304 by July 1. For more information, call (765) 748-5384.

He is the son of Kevin and Christine Keller and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in mathematics education.

She is the daughter of Jon and Ginger Roughia and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in history education.

She is the daughter of Roy and Deborah Adams and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in public relations.
