Pottkotter leads Fort Recovery freshmen

HAVILAND, Ohio - The Fort Recovery High School freshman girls basketball team improved to 2-0 Tuesday with a 28-8 victory over the host Wayne Trace Raiders.
Chelsea Pottkotter set the pace for the Indians with nine points and four rebounds. Sam Tobe added eight points.
Tribe girls win
ROCKFORD, Ohio - Tori Lennartz led the Fort Recovery Middle School seventh grade girls basketball team Tuesday in a 36-28 victory over the host Parkway Panthers. The eighth grade team picked up its first win of the year by a 47-10 score.
Lennartz finished with 10 points as the seventh grade Indians improved to 3-0. Caley Schoenherr, Morgan Leuthold and Mikayla Grover each added six points.
Kelsee Ontrop scored nine points for the eighth grade team (1-2). Jackie Fullenkamp and Jessica Vogel scored eight points apiece.

BERNE - The South Adams High School girls basketball team picked up its second win of the year Monday, defeating the visiting Wes-Del Warriors 46-28.
Tori Kistler racked up 17 points to lead the Starfires (2-8), who outscored Wes-Del 20-7 in the second half.
Katrina Hawkins also reached double figures with 10 points, and Karen Bollenbacher added seven.
Alex Antrim scored 12 points to pace the Warriors. Haley Hamlin added five points.
SAHS also won the junior varsity game, 35-31, with Whitney Matney scoring 15 points.
Schoenlein wins pair
WARSAW - Lizzy Schoenlein took first place in two events Sunday at the Mid-America Gymnastics meet.
Schoenlein led the group of local athletes at the competition with her winning score of 9.475 on the Level 7 floor exercise. She was also first on the balance beam with a 9.2, and won the all-around at 35.925.
Courtney Miles won the Level 7 vault with a 9.225, and Korinna Schindler was first in the Level 5 vault with an 8.7. Jocelyn Huey had her best score with an 8.525 on the Level 4 floor.[[In-content Ad]]
