Prevent child abuse forum to meet

A community forum will be held to help form a chartered prevention council against child abuse in Jay County.
The forum will meet tonight at 6 p.m. in room 205 at the John Jay Center for Learning in Portland. A representative from Prevent Child Abuse Indiana will be present to answer questions.

Health class
A Senior Health class will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Jay County Public Library.
The class will be taught by Kristi Henry, Jay County Hospital Community Educator. Tips will be given on eating right and staying healthy.
Reading programs
The Adult Summer Reading Program at Jay County Public Library will continue through July 18. Participants will have a chance to win a Kindle Fire.
The Teen Summer Reading Program “Own the Night” and the younger children’s program “Dream Big, Read!” continues through July 14.
