Program offered for GOP women (5/25/04)

Taking Note

The Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series is seeking applicants from throughout Indiana for its 2004-05 class. The program is designed for Republican women who are interested in increasing their involvement in the public and political arenas.

Applicants should have demonstrated leadership skills in their fields of work or community service. As many as eighteen participants will be selected for the nine month program which features monthly sessions with government and political leaders, lobbyists and media representatives. In addition, the class members meet several times with Senator Lugar and spend three days in Washington, D.C., meeting with national Republican leaders. Two hundred and twenty-seven women from around the state have completed the program, which is entering its fifteenth year.

Applications are due August 1, 2004, and are available by calling (317) 964-5005 or using our website: www.lugarseries.org.
