Purdue Extension meeting set (03/04/2009)

Purdue Extension will hold its Extension Advisory Council Annual meeting on Wednesday, March 11.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Jay County 4-H Building. There will be a meal, a brief report from the Extension staff and speaker Steve McKinley will talk of the "Essential Elements of Volunteerism."

Nutrition Day

LifeStream will celebrate Nutrition Awareness Day on Wednesday, March 11, with the theme "Eat Right."

The menu for nutrition day will feature roasted pork with pear sauce, Key West veggie blend, peach pecan sweet potatoes, wheat roll, blueberry cobbler and milk.

The meal will be served at 11:30 a.m. at Portland Place Apartments, 430 W. Lafayette St., Portland.
