Quilt club to have annual show

The Stitch ‘N Chatter Quilt Club of Portland will have its 27th annual quilt show at Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St. in Portland.
The show will be  held Thursday, Aug. 23, and Friday, Aug. 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will several quilts on display, a raffle for the club’s handmade quilt, vendors, daily scissor sharpening and a quilt appraiser on Thursday and Friday.
There will be a $3 charge.

Dean’s list
Three Fort Recovery residents were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Findlay (Ohio) for maintaining a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.   
Greg Kahlig is an accounting major.
Kayla Pottkotter is a physical therapy major.
