Reception set at resource center
Taking Note
The Jay County Visitor &Tourism Bureau will host a reception on Wednesday, May 12, at the Community Resource Center to celebrate National Tourism Week.
The reception will be held from noon until 4 p.m. and will honor Hickory Grove Lakes Campground and Hilltop Farm B&B owners for their years of service and bringing visitors to the area.
Some of the local attractions to visit on the Indiana 500 Tour are the Tin Lizy Museum at Bearcreek Farms in Bryant, the Haynes car in the Community Resource Center, Arnold's Drive-In in Decatur and the Winchester Speedway. More information can be found at www.indiana500tour.com.

Aging conference
The 7th Annual Indiana Conference on Aging Well will be held Thursday, May 27, at Ball State University Alumni Center with guest speaker Dr. Lauren Dungy-Poythress.
Participants will attend sessions to nourish the body, mind and spirit, view educational exhibits and network with others.
Registration will take place from 9 to 9:45 a.m. and the conference will begin at 10 a.m.

The South Adams Senior Center will host a Ladies/Girls Spring Fling Tea on Saturday, May 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. Lunch will be served and Willa Kay Sprunger will present the program. To make reservations before Thursday, May 13, call the South Adams Senior Center at (260) 589-8877.
To open in June
The Fort Recovery State Museum will have a grand re-opening in June after major renovations have taken place over the winter.
Featured will be new displays on the Civil War, the Gene Noggler artifact display and Bob VanTrees display.
