Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Manor, Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception on Sunday, March 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the parlor of Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland. The couple requests that gifts be omitted.
Richard married Betty Sue Shawver on March 12, 1955, at the Collett United Brethren Church. The Rev. Robert Bisel officiated.
Betty is a graduate of Gov. I.P. Gray High School and is a retired accountant. She is a volunteer with the American Red Cross and a member of the Asbury United Methodist Women.
Richard also graduated from Gov. I.P. Gray High School and is retired from the Portland Post Office. He volunteers with the American Red Cross and is active in the Masonic Lodge in Portland.
The couple are members of Asbury United Methodist Church.
They are the parents of Mrs. Tony (Deanna) Howell, Albany, and Steve Manor (wife Pam), Fort Wayne. They also have eight grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
