The 15-and-older girls 200-meter medley relay team set a new team and pool record earlier this season.
The quartet improved their record Thursday at Portland Pool.
Anne Vormohr, Jamie Valentine, Sophie Bader and Sydney Mathias finished in 2 minutes, 10.75 seconds to break their previous record by almost a full two seconds.
The Jay County Summer Swim Team went on to beat Wells Community in the closest meet of the season, 687-466. The victory pushes Jay County’s dual meet record to 5-0 on the season.
Mathias went on to win a pair of individual events, and Vormohr and Bader both finished first in one race apiece.
Sophie Saxman, Mara Bader, Alex Bader and Josh Lykins were all triple event winners.
Earning victories in two individual events were Zeke Corwin, Lilly Clemmons, Joseph and Ashlyn Dow, Abilene Hough, Eliza Bader, George Clemmons and Zane Shreve.
Kaitlyn Dow, Ashley Mark, Elizabeth McDowell, Sok Vormohr, Elayna Paro and Ben Nichols all picked up single wins.[[In-content Ad]]
