Red Cross honors church, radio

The American Red Cross Blood Services, Indiana-Ohio Region, recently hosted its annual recognition luncheon in Fort Wayne. Bryant Wesleyan Church and WPGW Radio were honored.
Bryant Wesleyan was given the Lifesaver Award that recognizes blood drive sponsors who were especially accommodating by replacing drives that had been canceled, hosting last minute drives and demonstrating flexibility when Red Cross equipment or staffing issues required their mobile dates or  times to be changed.
WPGW Radio was given the American Red Cross Partnership Award for running public service announcements for blood drives in four surrounding counties and reminders about American Red Cross training sessions and fundraisers.

Mother Goose
Mother Goose and Me will be held each Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Jay County Public Library through Dec. 17 for children with an adult. There will be no program on Oct. 29.
