Redkey alumni banquet set (4/12/05)
Taking Note
Redkey High School will have its Annual Alumni Banquet on Saturday, April 30, at the Jay County High School. Registration begins at 4:30 and the meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. A program and entertainment will follow. Special class recognition years are 1925, 35, 45, 55, 65 and 75.
The cost of the meal and evening program is $15 for alumni members and $12 for non-members and reservations are due by Friday, April 15. Send reservations to Sandra Kirby, Redkey Alumni Association, P.O. Box 621, Redkey, IN 47373 or call Sandra Kirby at (765) 369-2064.
PLEDGED
Dr. Judith L. Wible, a former Portland resident, has pledged $1 million to build a visitor center at the International Butterfly Park, being built along the Rio Grande in Mission, Texas.
The park is being constructed by the North American Butterfly Association (NABA), of which Wible is a longtime member. It will be the nation’s first and only large scale park devoted entirely to the appreciation, study and conservation of wild butterflies.
Wible is the daughter of Jay County original pioneers John Wible and June Young. She lives in Sugar Land, Texas.

Dustin Guggenbiller, a Fort Recovery High School student and son of Dave and Linda Guggenbiller of Fort Recovery, has been accepted to the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima to major in automotive technology.
