Retired banker to be honored

The Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce recently announced that Stefan Anderson will be recognized as the 2013 recipient of the Chamber’s Legacy Award.
Anderson was recognized for his work as CEO and Chairman of First Merchants Corporation prior to his retirement, his work with the Federal Reserve and his various volunteer activities.
Anderson will be honored at the 2013 Legacy Gala on Aug. 24 at the Horizon Convention Center in Muncie. For more information contact Brenda Brumfield at (765) 751-9128 or [email protected].

Lynch joins The CR staff
Kelly Lynch has joined the staff at The Commercial Review as a county government reporter.
Lynch, 23, graduated magna cum laude from Franklin College in 2011 with bachelor’s degrees in journalism, specializing in visual communication, and theatre. In school, she reported stories as part of the Franklin College Statehouse Bureau and The Franklin, the college’s weekly newspaper.
Originally from Fort Wayne, her family moved about 20 miles north to Avilla after her sophomore year of high school. She graduated from Central Noble High School.
Since she was young, she has been heavily involved in theatre and art programs, eventually earning a degree in theatre. She spends her free time creatively, whether watching live performances, shooting photographs or reading her favorite books.
Lynch replaces former CR reporter Steve Garbacz, who left the staff in January to take a position with The Daily Journal in Franklin.

Metzger joins First Financial

First Financial Bank recently announced it has hired Sharon Metzger, Fort Recovery, as a client service and sales associate at its Fort Recovery location, 220 N. Wayne St.
Metzger will provide banking assistance to clients in Fort Recovery and surrounding areas. She currently serves as the president of the Fort Recovery American Legion Auxiliary and is a member of the Mary Help of Christians Ladies Sodality, the Daughters of Isabella and Fort Recovery Athletic Boosters.

Hospice employee gets accreditation
State of the Heart Hospice employee Brenda Sunderland, Celina, recently earned accreditation as a certified case manager.
The accreditation is given by the Commission for Case Manager Certification following an examination that covers a broad spectrum of different areas of case management.
Sunderland is the Team Manager for the nonprofit agency’s Portland office.
State of the Heart also has offices in Greenville, Ohio, and Coldwater, Ohio.

EP acquires
EP Graphics, Berne, recently acquired the operating assets of Huntington-based Mignone Communications, creating one of the largest Indiana-based web printers.
Mignone and EP Graphics will begin a transition to integrate staff and operations in the EP Graphics plant in Berne. The combined operation is expected to have 150 employees.
