Reunion set for Elks (08/21/2008)

Jay County High School graduating class of 1998 will hold its 10 year reunion on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Portland Elks, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The meal will be served at 7 p.m. and the cost is $15 per person.

Send RSVP to Lori (Schoenlein) Bantz at 1626 North 300 West, Portland, IN 47371 by Monday, Sept. 1.

Those unable to attend the dinner may gather for socializing, music and drinks at 8:30 p.m. at the Elks. A $5 donation will be accepted at the door and no RSVP is necessary.

Arthritis talk

The program "Nutrition and Arthritis - Arthritis and Exercise" will be held Thursday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at CrownPointe Communities activity room, Portland.

Kristi Henry, Purdue Extension educator, will discuss if arthritis is linked to what we eat and how exercise can help alleviate pain.
