Rines couple celebrates anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. John Rines, 2246 East 200 South, Portland, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 17.

John married Cletes Glentzer on September 17, 1955, in Portland.

Cletes recently retired as a customer service representative with First National Bank, and John is a farmer and truck driver with First Fleet Inc.

The couple are members of Asbury United Methodist Church.

They are the parents of Stewart, Scott, Steve and Stan Rines, all of Portland; Mrs. Peter (Cathy) Foss, Los Altos, Calif.; Mrs. Randy (Corienne) Brockman, St. Henry, Ohio; and Mrs. Chuck (Susan) Huffman, Dunkirk. They also have 15 grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to an open house reception on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Portland National Guard Armory. They ask that gifts be omitted.
