Robert Youngblood

Services for Robert “Bob” Youngblood, 77, Hilltop Lakes, Texas, are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland with Pastor Darrel Borders officiating. He died Friday at his home.
Born in East Peoria, Ill., to Albert and Lola (Schrode) Youngblood, he is survived by his wife Veda (Smith) Youngblood whom he married on April 1, 1960.
Retiring from the GM Transmission Plant in Muncie in 1993 after more than 28 years of service, he was a member of the Portland Morning Optimist Club.
Surviving besides his wife are four sons, David Lowman (wife: Brenda), Magnolia, Texas, Victor Lowman, Greencastle, Vincent Lowman (wife: Darleen), Parker City, and Randy Youngblood (wife: Loretta), London, Ohio; six daughters, Susan Bacon (husband: Don), Newburg, Terry Snyder (husband: Dave), Winchester, Mary Ellen Bethe, West Frankfort, Ill., Stacy Snyder, Geary, Okla., Teresa Lowman, Muncie, and Karen Smith (husband: Larry), East Palestine, Ohio; four sisters, Ruby Kujawski, Port Arthur, Fla., Mildred Ogden, Hayworth, Ill., Mary Geske (husband: Robert), Bloomington, Ill., and Thelma Bates, Evansville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Reitenour Cemetery, east of Ridgeville.
