Roberts named board president

Arts Place in Portland recently elected board member officers for 2011-2012.
Connie Roberts of Portland, a member of the board since 2005, was elected president. Carol Trimmer, Muncie, was elected as first vice president; Daniel Orr, Redkey, was elected as second vice president; William Hess, Hartford City, was elected treasurer; and Becky Hinkle, Portland, was elected secretary.
Also Michele Bichette Goldman, Portland, and William Hess, Hartford City, were elected to a two-year term ending in 2013; Paula Sibery, Portland, was elected to a three-year term ending in 2014; and Daniel Orr, Annemarie “Anni” McClung, Kyle Teeter and Martha “Mindy” Weaver, all of Portland, were reelected to a term ending in 2014.
Internships
Internship applications are being accepted for Senator Richard Lugar’s Senatorial offices in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Valparaiso and Washington D.C.
Applicants should have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and have completed their freshman year at a college or university. College course credit is available for internships.
