Robotics opens with six teams

Robotics teams from Jay County High School started their season on Saturday with a competition in Zionsville.
JCHS had six teams competing in the 51 team event and only one student had competed the year before.
Three teams made it to the finals — team 1193E made up of Austin Wendel, Ian McClung, Katelyn Kaufman and Kathryn Braun came in seventh; team 1193C made up of Moljon Vance Sidney, Preston Overholser, Gary Corle and Brandon Marsh placed 10th and team 1193B made up of Travis Steed, Emily Morris, Kecia Harter and Gary Munday placed 19th.
The teams were eliminated in the semi final round.
