Robotics team place first
Taking Note
Jay County Robotics entered six teams in the Warren Central Robotics completion on Saturday.
Team D, made up of Tyler South, Cody Pyle and Daniel Bumbalough placed first in the Autonomous Challenge and the Skills Challenge.
Team A, made up of Nathaniel Imel, Anthony Seelnacht, Caleb Hummel, Derek Hughes and Aaron Hudson, placed second in the Autonomous Challenge The win also qualified them for the Americas in Omaha.
Team B, made up of Josh Mills, Brian Ingram, Cameron Schlechty and Jake Sutton, came in second place.
The above teams have all qualified for the WORLDS Vex Competition in Dallas, Texas.
Arts Place
Registrations are being accepted for 2010 winter and spring Innovations classes and workshops at Arts Place, that will begin the week of Jan. 25.
Classes will be available for children in puppetry, clay, mixed media and live theatre.
Adult classes will be available in oil painting, clay, drama, song writing and hip hop dance.
Registration forms are available at Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St. in Portland or at www.artsland.org.
Scholarships are also available and the deadline is Jan. 15. For more information, call (260) 726-4809.
Baby lapsit
Baby lapsit, a library program for new moms and babies up to 24 months old, will meet tonight and Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Geneva Library.[[In-content Ad]]
