The Portland Rockets had won nine in a row. But they didn't give themselves a chance to extend the streak to double digits.
Portland failed to push any runs across the plate Tuesday night, falling 3-0 to visiting La Margarita.
The Rockets (12-5) came up with seven hits, but could not string them together. Heath Williams, a Jay County High School graduate, finished with two hits, and Todd Graves had the lone extra-base hit with a double.
Garret Wiejak suffered the loss, despite striking out 14 batters. He allowed the three runs on six hits.
