The Portland Rockets celebrated the holiday weekend with some offensive fireworks Sunday.
In a double-header sweep of visiting LaMargarita Blues - 9-5 and 10-3 - Portland racked up a season-high eight extra-base hits as they improved to 14-9 on the year.
Jensen Painter powered the big day for the Rockets as he hit for the cycle in the opener. Jay County High School graduate Josh Ludy added an inside-the-park homer as the pair combined for 10 hits, 10 RBIs and nine runs in the double-header.
Cameron Branock, Nick Bruns and JCHS graduates Heath Williams and Thomas McCowan chipped in two hits apiece.
Josh Atkinson (JCHS), Dan Bollenbacher (SAHS), Ethan Tribolet and Eric Van Matre all pitched in the victories.

DECATUR - Tanner Miller and Sok Vormohr dominated the 11-12-year-old boys division Thursday in a 672-323 victory for the Jay County Summer Swim Team over North Adams Central.
Miller earned wins for Jay County in the long freestyle, backstroke and short freestyle. Sok Vormohr completed the sweep of events in the 11-12-year-old boys division in the butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke.
Christopher McDowell added victories in the 8-and-younger boys backstroke, individual medley and short freestyle, and Noah Hummel took first place in the 9-10-year-old long freestyle, butterfly and breaststroke.
Caitlin Mark was first in the 13-14-year-old long freestyle, individual medley and short freestyle.
Eliza Bader, Daniel Ostrowski, Audrey Shreve, Alex Bader, Sydney Mathias, Alex LeMaster, Sophie Bader, Anne Vormohr, Brent Milholland, Mary Hudson, Eme Miller, Aaron Hudson and Sam Miller all won two events.

Christian King scored the game-winning run to lift All Circuit Electric to a 12-11 win over Williams Auto Parts Thursday in the Portland Junior League Rookie baseball tournament.
King led off the bottom of the sixth inning with a single and scored the winning run on an RBI single from Jason Minnich. He finished with two hits and two runs.
Travis Reffitt led All Circuit with four hits and three runs, and Bailey Cox singled and scored twice.
Pair score three
Kailee Denney and Lauren Durham each scored three goals Wednesday to lead the Cyclones to a 7-4 win over the Blizzards in the West Jay Community Center Summer Soccer League.
Alex Davis added the seventh goal for the Cyclones.
