Rockets win sixth straight (06/20/08)

Portland Rockets

FORT WAYNE - The Rockets didn't stay under .500 for very long.

After a 3-4 start the Portland Rockets have won six straight games, including a 8-4 triumph Thursday night over host Crumback-Symons.

The game was decided in the second inning when Aaron Pfeffenberger smacked a two-run homer. Ian Sanders added a triple as the Rockets plated seven runs in the frame.

Heath Williams, a Jay County High School graduate, finished with three hits, and Pfeffenberger and Mitch Waters (JCHS) each added a pair. Portland also had four stolen bases in the win.

Garrett Wiejak went the distance, scattering five hits in the victory. He was helped by a pair of double plays.[[In-content Ad]]
