Rogers, Burk chosen to sit on commission
Taking Note
Indiana Coalition for the Arts and Indiana Coalition for the Arts Foundation recently elected new board of trustee members to serve a three-year term.
Elected from Arts Place in Portland was Eric Rogers.
Also elected to serve as officers for the fiscal year ending in 2011 were Sue Burk of Arts Place, secretary of both coalitions, and Todd Minnich of The Honeywell Foundation in Wabash, treasurer of the foundation. Minnich is a Jay County High School graduate.
Reunion
A reunion is in the works for area residents who were deployed in the Fort Wayne Air National Guard Berlin Wall Call-Up to Chambley, France.
The reunion, to mark the 50th anniversary of the call-up, will be held sometime in 2011 at the Air National Guard Base at Baer Field in Fort Wayne.

Free day
Seniors will be admitted free on Sept. 20 to Minnetrista in Muncie. Exhibit hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Limberlost concert
Musicians are invited to perform at a Bluegrass Jam on Sunday, Sept. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Limberlost State Historic Site, 200 E. 6th St. in Geneva. Musicians may perform solo or jam with others.
Visitors should bring lawn chairs. The Limberlost cabin and gift shop will be open. Bluegrass Jams are sponsored by Limberlost Construction Co., Downing and Glancy Funeral Home and Case and Quart. For more information, call Randy Lehman at (260) 368-7428.
