Jack Ronald, editor and publisher of The Commercial Review, was recently published in “Measure, A Review of Formal Poetry.”
Ronald’s poem “I Count the Miles” appeared in the biannual journal dedicated to publishing the best metrical, English-language verse from both the United States and abroad.
New at museum
The Jay County Historical Museum has acquired a new item for display and will have a new feature within the next month.
The candy scale from the former G.C. Murphy Store in downtown Portland can now be seen at the museum and a display by Dr. Eugene and Jane Gillum will soon be featured. It will include china painted by the Gillums, and will display his medical accomplishments, military career, rock collection and aviation interests.
The museum is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 903 E. Main St. in Portland. Open houses will take place on Sunday, July 24, and Sunday, Aug. 7 and 21, from 1 until 4 p.m.
Exhibit
Christo & Jeanne-Claude: Natural Interventions exhibit is on display through Aug. 20 at the Hugh N. Ronald Gallery at Arts Place in Portland.
The exhibit is on loan from the Fort Wayne Museum of Art.
At Minnetrista
Muncie Civic Theatre will perform “Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.” on Friday, July 29, and Saturday, July 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Minnetrista.
