SA JV drops two

PONETO - The South Adams High School junior varsity girls basketball team lost both of its games Monday in the Bi-County Tournament at Southern Wells. The Starfires fell 35-19 to the host Raiders in the opening round, and then fell 35-32 to Bluffton in the consolation game.

Lyndsey Chandler scored 10 points to lead SAHS against Southern Wells. Alyssa Armenta added four points.

Lindsay Graber had nine points for the Starfires against Bluffton. Whitney Matney followed with seven.

FR freshmen win

COLDWATER, Ohio - Three Indians scored in double figues Monday to lead the Fort Recovery freshman girls basketball team to a 49-28 win over Coldwater.

Kelsey Fiely set the pace with 17 points for the Tribe, which is now 3-0. Janelle Schwieterman added 12 points, and Chelsea Pottkotter scored 11.[[In-content Ad]]
