Sager earns degree (9/17/04)

Cathy Sager, daughter of former Portland residents, Ruth and Elvin Sager, graduated from Ball State University in May with a master’s of science degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner. She obtained national certification as a family nurse practitioner and is employed by Tulip Tree Family Health Clinic in the Princeton area and lives in Washington.
CROCK POT COOKING
Purdue Cooperative Extension is presenting “Fix It and Forget It Crock Pot Cooking” on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 1 p.m. at the Jay County Public Library.
Betty Bagley, Consumer and Family Science Educator from Blackford County will be the guest speaker.
The program is free and open to all interested. For reservations, call the Jay County Extension Office at (260) 726-4707 by Sept. 21.
BIG PARADE
Great Lakes Shrine Association will present the largest parade in the history of Fort Wayne, lasting over 2 1/2 hours, on Saturday at 11 a.m. The parade will begin in downtown Fort Wayne and follow the Three Rivers Festival parade route.
