MONROE — The South Adams High School volleyball team’s season came to an end Saturday with a 25-10, 25-16, 25-5 loss to Bishop Luers in the semifinal round of the Class 2A sectional tournament hosted by Adams Central.
Bishop Luers went on to defeat Woodlan in four games for the sectional title. The Starfires finished the year at 5-28.
Dennis tops EJMS
The East Jay Middle School eighth grade football team closed its season Thursday with a 20-6 loss to visiting Richmond Dennis.
The Chiefs had the early lead, scoring the first touchdown of the game on a 7-yard run by Nick Clemens in the first quarter. But Dennis pulled even with a touchdown in the second and added TDs in the third and fourth quarters.[[In-content Ad]]
