Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sanders, Portland, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday by renewing their vows at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Portland.
Jim married Penny Money on June 19, 1966, at First Baptist Church, Portland.
Penny is employed at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Portland.
Jim is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Portland Post Office in 2003. He is employed part-time at the Jay County Sheriff’s Dept. and serves on the Portland City Council.
They are the parents of Mrs. Aaron (Lisa) Holcomb, Mrs. Rich (Michelle) Theurer, and Aaron Sanders, all of Portland. They also have nine grandchildren.
The couple will also have an open house on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Tri-State grounds on Morton Street. They request that gifts be omitted.[[In-content Ad]]
