SAT prep class to be held (9/27/05)

A two week SAT preparation class will be available at Jay County High School for students who are planning to take the test on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the high school.
Class dates are Thursday, Oct. 20, Friday, Oct. 21, Monday, Oct. 24, through Wednesday, Oct. 26, and Monday, Oct. 31, through Friday, Nov. 4. The classes will be held from 7 to 8 a.m. and the cost is $50. Students may register at Jay County High School or The John Jay Center for Learning. Stress workshop
The American Red Cross will host a workshop on Wednesday in Muncie. Stress management, reaching out for help and caregiving health will be among the subjects discussed. The workshop, which will include live demonstrations, is provided by Ball State University nursing students.
The workshop will be held from noon to 1 p.m. or 7 to 8 p.m. at the Center for Vital Aging, 520 E. Main St., on the second floor of the Cornerstone for the Arts building. To register, call (765) 289-4541.
Summer graduates
The following students graduated from Ball State University during the 2005 summer semester.
Eric Myers and Kylee Rapp, Decatur, and Lesli Chaffins, Geneva, earned bachelor’s degrees.
Stashia Clott, Portland, earned an associate’s degree. Gwendolyn Riddle, Portland, earned a bachelor of arts degree. Laura Mooneyhan, Pennville, and Erin Jonas, Sara Jonas and William Watson, all of Portland, earned bachelor of science degrees.
