Jay County CrimeStoppers is looking for information on a burglary at a Portland residence on Sunday.
Michelle Lancaster, 601 W. High St., told Portland police someone entered her house and stole items valued at more than $6,800.
She said the burglary occurred between 2 and 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The home was entered by forcing open the rear door. Stolen from the house were two computers, a digital camera, jewelry, a video game system, video games, DVDs, a safe and several prescription medications.

Ambulance sideswiped
A Jay County Emergency Medical Service ambulance collided with a car driven by an Ossian man while on an emergency run Friday morning shortly before 10 a.m.
The ambulance, registered to the Jay County Commissioners, was turning from West Votaw onto North Meridian Street when it was sideswiped by a 2004 Chevy driven by Ted E. Melching, 65, Ossian.
Melching told Portland police he had stopped for the ambulance and was backing up in an attempt to give it more room when his car made contact with the ambulance as it was turning.
No injuries were reported, and no estimate of damage was available.[[In-content Ad]]
