JCC hosting events, leagues
Registration is open for Jay Community Center’s adult 3-on-3 basketball league, croquet and ping pong tournaments and half-marathon/5K.
The croquet tournament will be Saturday, Sept. 11 at 9 a.m. at the home of Barry and Elizabeth Hudson, 1525 S. Meridian St., Portland. The registration fee is $80 per two-person team, and the deadline is Sept. 1.
The double-elimination ping-pong tournament for players 15-and-older will be Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. The entry fee is $5, and the deadline is Sept. 4.
The basketball league, which is for players 15-and-older, will be played on Wednesday evenings beginning Sept. 15. The registration fee is $125 per team, and the deadline is Sept. 10.
The Hudson Family Park Half Marathon and 5K will be Oct. 2. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the half-marathon at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K run at 9 a.m.
The registration fee is $20 for the half-marathon and $15 for the 5K, and the deadline is Sept. 21. Registration is also available online at www.racemyplanet.com.
