Kelly Jo Faris

Kelly Jo Faris, 29, Redkey, died Thursday morning in Portland.
The cause of death re-mains un-der investigation, according to the Jay County coroner.
Born in Muncie, she was the daughter of Roger L. and Deborah L. (Ashby) Faris. She was a 1998 graduate of Jay County High School and had worked as a CNA at Albany Health Care.
Surviving are two daughters, Heather Marie Harty, Albany, and Kiley Renee Williams, Redkey; two sons, William F. Harty, Albany, and Kaden Roger Williams, Redkey; two sisters, Tracey Wengerd (husband: Ervin), Bryant, and Angela Cansler (husband: Darren), Eaton; two brothers, Bob Faris (wife: Julie), Redkey, and James Ashby (wife: Emily), Anderson; and her fiancé, Scott Williams, Redkey.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at MJS Mortuaries Redkey Chapel with Pastor Randy Davis officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
Carolyn Monroe

Carolyn J. Monroe, 79, 4518 North Ind. 1, Pennville, died early Friday morning at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
The daughter of Jesse and Gertrude (Septer) Bailey, she married on Nov. 15, 1997 to Richard Monroe, who survives.
She had worked for E.P. Graphics in Berne and was a member of the Pennville Legion Auxiliary. She attended church at Pennville United Methodist and taught Sunday school at Bryant Wesleyan.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Michael A. Masters, Redkey; two daughters, Brenda Smith (husband: Jon) and Melinda Sprunger (husband: Tom), both of Monroe; a step-son, Doug Monroe, Portland; a step-daughter Lesa Kirby (husband: Gary), Portland; four sisters, Margaret Minch, Bryant, Maxine Curtis, Findlay, Ohio, Iren Eversol, Fort Wayne, and Ruth Leichty, Cape Coral, Fla.; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 a.m. until services begin at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Alexander P. Soultz officiating.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pennville.
Memorials may be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
