Portland's mayor is one of a handful who will be attending a luncheon and meeting with the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China next week.
Bruce Hosier, along with mayors from Muncie, Marion, Logansport and Monticello, will be hosted by His Excellency Ping Huang in Chicago on Monday. Hosier made a networking trip to China last year.
The event is a collaboration between the Confucius Institute at Purdue University and Purdue University's Center for International Business, Education and Research.
The goal of the meeting is to create a "Purdue Midwest China Initiative."[[In-content Ad]]
