Firecracker 5K is Monday
The Ansonia Firecracker 5K race is scheduled for Monday.
The race will begin at Ansonia High School, located on Ohio 47, at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $8 before June 28 or $11 the day of the race.

Water aerobics start Wednesday
Water aerobics classes will be held at Fort Recovery’s Ambassador Pool beginning Wednesday.
There will be a day session on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., an evening session on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m. and a night session on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 10 p.m. Classes will run through July 29.
The registration fee is $30 for the month or $3 per session.
Wolves hosting 5K
Indiana University East will host the Run with the Wolves 5K Run/Walk July 16.
Registration on the day of the race begins at 7 a.m. with the 5K to follow at 8 a.m. The entry fee is $15 for adults and $10 for students, and the deadline is Friday.

AeroCat hosting race
AeroCat High Performance Bicycles will host a time trial July 10 as part of the Colavita-Zipp Speed Weaponry Series.
The event, which has a $20 entry fee, will begin at 9 a.m. at Portland’s Hudson Family Park. The race route will be from the park, south on Wayne Street, continuing south on Boundary Pike, turning east on County Road 200 South to near State Line Road and following the same path back to the park.

Jay County Youth Soccer is teaming with Challenger Sports to host a soccer camp for children ages 6 through 18 July 11 through 15 at Jay County High School.
The camp for 6 through 9 year olds will be daily from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $76. The camps for 10 through 14 year olds and high school players will run from 5 to 8 p.m. at a cost of $104.
