Parked vehicle hit
A vehicle driven by a Decatur man struck a parked vehicle at Bearcreek Farms, 8339 North 400 East, Bryant, on Friday.
David R. Rogers, 73, 871 North U.S. 207, told Jay County police he was backing up in the parking lot and failed to see a parked 2005 Hyundai Elantra. His 2001 Ford pick-up truck struck the car. The accident occurred at 3:20 p.m.
Combined damage to Rogers' vehicle and the car, registered to Kimberly A. Miller, 409 Eastview Drive, Middle Point, Ohio, was estimated at less than $1,000.
Godspell at Arts Place
The Huntington University Theatre Department will present "Godspell" today at Arts Place, Portland.
The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. in Hall-Moser Theatre. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students.
"Godspell" is a musical celebration based on the Gospel According to Matthew.
Arts Place is located at 131 E. Walnut St. Tickets are available by calling (260) 726-4809 or visiting www.artsland.org.
Jewelry stolen
Someone broke into a Portland resident's home and stole several pieces of jewelry.
The burglary occurred at the home of Jesus Palomo, 122 Rayburn Drive. A relative told Portland police that four rings, four necklaces and a bracelet were stolen between sometime on July 15 and before 4:06 p.m. on Friday. Value was estimated at $2,500.
To gain entry, a window on the northwest side of the house was broken. Damage was estimated at $500.[[In-content Ad]]
