Carol Trimmer, 2012 campaign chair for Arts Place, said Friday the organization had surpassed its goal of $380,000. This year’s campaign raised $381,659, compared to $343,862 in 2011.
A regional arts council, Arts Place serves a 15-county area in east central Indiana and west central Ohio. It operates arts centers in Portland, Hartford City and St. Marys.
Trimmer called the campaign success bittersweet, noting that Dan Orr was a member of the campaign team and a member of the Arts Place board. Orr was killed in a motorcycle accident on June 19.
“I’m sure he would have been pleased at the outcome,” she said.[[In-content Ad]]
